First introduced in 1977, these shoes were originally dubbed "Style 36" and featured the renowned Vans sidestripe. Revolutionizing the skate shoe game, this low-top design showcased the incorporation of leather panels - a pioneering move by the Van Doren Rubber Company, which was established in Anaheim back in 1966. Initially a mere doodle by Paul Van Doren, it was initially referred to as the "jazz stripe". After more than four decades of development, this sidestripe has evolved into the iconic symbol that defines the Vans brand.

Features:
- Canvas and suede upper
- Low top classic design
- Cotton drill lining
- Vulcanized construction
- Gum rubber outsole with signature waffle tread
